Morata inching closer to Man Utd

Transfers are a complicated business these days, with plenty of haggling to be done before agreement is reached between player, buying club and selling club.

Alvaro Morata's agent has been speaking about the possibility of the Real Madrid forward moving to Manchester United.

"It is a great club, a very interesting option. This is a very important proposal."

There is still no agreement but, with Antoine Griezmann pledging to remain at Atletico Madrid and Romelu Lukaku apparently set on a return to Chelsea, Morata is emerging as Jose Mourinho's preferred option to fill the striking role vacated by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Not that Ibrahimovic's United future should be written off just yet as he will train with the club as he recovers from knee surgery despite having no contract.

Liverpool signs Naby Keita for a club-record fee £48m

Liverpool have confirmed the agreement of a club-record deal to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita next summer. The Reds will pay the £48m release clause that will allow Keita to join the club, as well as an undisclosed premium. Keita completed a medical on Monday and will officially join Liverpool on July 1 next year. The fee will also surpass the £39.5m paid to Roma for Mohamed Salah this summer.
