Conor McGregor vows to knock Floyd Mayweather out in four rounds.

CONOR MCGREGOR stole the show at his first face-to-face clash with Floyd Mayweather and claimed he’ll knock the American out inside four rounds.

The Irish MMA star was his usual brash self at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday in the first of four press conferences this week ahead of the August 26 mega-fight.

And McGregor wasted no time in running his mouth in typical style in front of a somewhat subdued Mayweather.

The 28-year-old mocked Mayweather for wearing a tracksuit, saying he “can’t even afford a suit anymore”.

He continued: “He is f***ed – there is no other way about it.

“His little legs, his little core, his little head… I’m going to knock him out in four rounds.

“He will be unconscious in four rounds. The movement power, ferociousness, he’s not experienced this.

“This limited set of skills isn’t even a true fight.

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor are this week promoting their showdown on August 26

There was plenty of verbal sparring between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor

“If this was a real fight it would be one round. All these rules, restrictions it doesn’t phase me.”

Mayweather sat motionless during McGregor’s speech, but was angry when he stepped to the microphone.

“I still got it,” Mayweather claimed.

“Twenty one is the number. That’s how long I’ve been kicking a**.

“I don’t give a f*** if it’s a ring or an octagon, put me in there and I’m going to kick a**.

“You line them up, I knock them out like bowling pins. On August 26 I’m going to knock this b**** out too.”

The subject then turned to money after McGregor’s earlier taxman jibes and Mayweather turned to a rucksack and pulled out a cheque.

“I’m gonna tax your a**,” Mayweather said to his opponent.

“We knew I was the A-side, that’s why it says Mayweather first and that’s why this b**** had to come to the boxing ring.

“He look good for a seven-figure fighter, he look good for an eight-figure fighter, but I’m a nine-figure fighter.

“This b**** made $3million his last fight – that’s training camp money for me.

"I'm not the same fighter I was 10 years ago, five years ago or two years ago, but I got enough to beat you."

An angry Mayweather continued: "We know Mr Tapout likes to quit. You can choose which way you want to go - on your face or on your back.

"All you need to do is show up and I'm going to do the rest."

The fighters then squared off for a face-to-face that lasted a few minutes and was filled with trash talk from both sides.

Mayweather and McGregor will meet again in Toronto on Wednesday, before heading to New York on Thursday and then London on Friday.
