Barcelona to initiate Asensio’s release clause after rejected bids from Liverpool




Barcelona are ready to pull off a big revolution, by activating Marco Asensio’s release clause.

According to Diario Gol, Barca are considering a swoop for Asensio, who plays for their arch-rivals, Real Madrid and are prepared to meet his £72million buy-out clause.

The Catalans continue to explore several options, as they prepare to put the money generated by Neymar’s record-breaking sale to Paris Saint-Germain to good use.

Their pursuit of Liverpool playmaker, Philippe Coutinho, is dragging on with the Reds refusing to do business at any price.

Barcelona have already seen two bids rejected and there are speculations that they may include midfielder Ivan Rakitic is a third offer for Coutinho.

Liverpool signs Naby Keita for a club-record fee £48m

Liverpool have confirmed the agreement of a club-record deal to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita next summer. The Reds will pay the £48m release clause that will allow Keita to join the club, as well as an undisclosed premium. Keita completed a medical on Monday and will officially join Liverpool on July 1 next year. The fee will also surpass the £39.5m paid to Roma for Mohamed Salah this summer.
