Gigi Buffon sends classy message to Usain Bolt who just retired

Usain Bolt has pulled down the curtains on his fantastic career, even though it didn’t quite end the way he would have wanted it.

Prior to his last race Usain Bolt’s form in global 100m and 200m finals read: WWWW, DSQ (false start), WWWWWWWWW.

But it sadly ended in an L as drug cheat Justin Gatlin was the eventual winner. Gatlin won in a time of 9.92 secs, with his fellow American Christian Coleman second in 9.94secs and Bolt third (9.95secs).

Bolt still goes out with a good legacy in the game, and Italian legendary goalkeeper, Gigi Buffon has sent a tribute to the Jamaican.

Buffon retires at the end of the 2017/18 season. His final tournament would be the World Cup in 2018 scheduled to take place in Russia.

The 39-year-old goalie would be hoping he can bow out of the game in style. A Champions League win and the World Cup would be the best way anyone would want to leave.

Gigi 's Message to Bolt

The Italian legend wrote:
Every story has its end. And when the beginning is extraordinary, the end has to be one to remember. The fastest man of all times, the lightning of athletics retires. Inevitable.
And yet incredible. As it has been his entire career. But in life you never really stop running.
You just do it on a different track. So keep on running Lightning Bolt. While the world still tries to reach you.
