Gunners’s bid for Ousamane Dembele rejected

Arsenal have reportedly had a bid for Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele turned down.

Dembele has been linked with a move to Barcelona and Real Madrid.

But Spanish newspaper, Mundo Deportivo, reports that Arsene Wenger has entered the race to sign the France forward and an offer has been rejected by the Bundesliga club.

It is understood that Wenger is trying to secure a replacement, incase Alexis Sanchez departs this summer, although he has maintained publicly that the player would not be sold.

Sanchez returned to training this week and is yet to sign a new deal with the Gunners, as he enters the final year of the existing contract.
